ph3Overview /h3 pThe Höpfler lab at the Institute for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is offering a postdoctoral position focused on RNA biology and gene regulation. The role involves leading a project to develop sequencing methods that identify messenger RNA (mRNA) decay substrates and to decipher the mechanisms of degradation. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop sequencing approaches to identify peptide-mediated mRNA decay (PMD) substrates /li liPerform bioinformatic data analysis and visualization of sequencing datasets /li liIdentify and mechanistically characterize PMD candidate substrates /li liPresent data at international conferences and prepare manuscripts /li liLead and manage international collaborations /li liActively participate in lab meetings and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and scientific curiosity /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pWe are particularly interested in candidates with a hybrid wet‑lab and bioinformatics background who have a track record in RNA biology or gene regulation. /p h3Must Have /h3 ul liBioinformatics experience in the analysis of (RNA) sequencing data /li liExperience with common laboratory techniques in cell and molecular biology /li liPhD degree (or expected to complete the degree before starting) in cell/molecular biology, bioinformatics, or a related field /li liStrong publication record commensurate with career stage /li liAbility to pursue research projects independently /li /ul h3Desirable /h3 ul liExperience with massively parallel reporter assays (MPRAs)
