p Mar Recruitment Consulting, a specialized consultancy within the maritime and logistics sector, is currently seeking a b NDT Level 2 Technician /b for a position based in b Mallorca /b , to join a leading international marine services provider specialized in the maintenance and repair of sailing yachts and superyachts. /p pb Your mission: /b /pp As an NDT Level 2 Technician, your mission is to ensure the structural integrity and quality of world-class composite spars and rigging systems. Through expert ultrasonic inspection, accurate reporting, and international field support, you will help safeguard the performance, reliability, and safety of high-performance racing and superyacht programmes worldwide. /p pb Main Responsibilities: /b /pp• Conduct contact ultrasonic testing of CFRP laminates, bonded joints, and structural assemblies to approved NDT procedures. /pp• Set up and verify UT equipment (including phased array systems such as OmniScan SX) in accordance with calibration and pre-inspection requirements. /pp• Identify, size, and classify indications including delaminations, voids, wrinkles, and disbonds in composite structures. /pp• Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports documenting findings, indication locations, sizing data, and relevant inspection parameters. /pp• Maintain contemporaneous OJT records and inspection documentation to programme and certification body requirements. /pp• Support procedure development and participate in technique trials under Level III direction. • Travel internationally to customer sites, refit yards, and race events as required, /pp• Operate and maintain NDT equipment in field conditions, ensuring calibration status is maintained at all times.



/pp• Work within the company quality management system and contribute to programme audits and reviews. /p pb Technical skills: /b /pp Essential Technical Skills Expertise: /pp • External NDT Level 2 certification in Ultrasonic Testing - ISO 9712 / PCN, NAS 410, or equivalent externally certified scheme. /pp• Demonstrated experience in UT of CFRP or composite structures - marine, aerospace, or wind energy sectors preferred. /pp• Competence in contact UT pulse-echo techniques; familiarity with phased array UT advantageous. • Ability to set up equipment, select appropriate probes and frequencies, and calibrate to reference standards without supervision. /pp• Experience producing formal inspection reports to a recognised standard. /pp• Full, clean driving license /pp• English language proficiency - written and spoken to a professional standard. /p pb Desirable Technical Skills Expertise /b : /pp• Experience with OmniScan SX or similar phased array instruments. /pp• Familiarity with Half-Amplitude Drop sizing methodology for composite laminates. /pp• Experience with thermography and other NDT techniques. /pp• Background in marine or superyacht programmes. /pp• Working knowledge of classification society requirements - Lloyd#39;s Register, DNV, Bureau Veritas. • Additional NDT method certifications. /pp• Spanish language skills advantageous but not required. /p pb Benefits: /b /pulli Competitive salary, commensurate with experience /lili International and dynamic working environment within the yachting industry /lili Exposure to high-end composite projects on sailing yachts and superyachts /lili Travel opportunities within a technically challenging role /lili Permanent, full-time position /lili Private health insurance coverage /lili Relocation support within Mallorca /lili Temporary accommodation support for relocation (1 month) /li /ul
