Call for applications for one T2 - Research Technician within the Haematological Diagnostics Research Group. Application deadline: 8 August 2026 at 3:00 p.m.

About the Unit / Group

The Haematological Diagnostics Research Group focuses on improving the diagnosis and monitoring of haematological malignancies through the application of advanced immunophenotyping and molecular biology techniques.

Its research is aimed at identifying genetic and molecular alterations that are relevant to the pathogenesis of these diseases and integrating them into clinical practice to optimise prognostic stratification and therapeutic decision-making.

The Group also develops and applies new diagnostic platforms in areas such as flow cytometry, genomics and molecular biology, and acts as a reference laboratory in national and international collaborative studies.

Its activities include the study of measurable residual disease and the development of tools for rapid molecular diagnosis, particularly in acute myeloid leukaemia, through the incorporation of emerging biomarkers and new technological approaches.

Essential requirements

- Minimum qualification required: higher education qualification -university diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification-.
- Oral and written knowledge of both official languages of Catalonia. Candidates who do not have the required level must demonstrate or undertake to acquire an adequate command of both official languages of Catalonia within a maximum period of one year.
- Intermediate level of English.
- Intermediate knowledge of office software tools -Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.-.

The following will be valued
- Experience in long-read sequence analysis.

Duties

The successful candidate will perform,



among others, the following duties:

- Provide technical support for the completion of the KMT2A research study, including the organisation, review and processing of data and the preparation of the results obtained.
- Collaborate in the drafting and review of the scientific manuscript for the KMT2A study.
- Conduct the literature review required for the preparation of the manuscript.
- Prepare the tables, figures and supplementary documentation required for publication.

We offer

- Temporary contract due to production-related circumstances to cover duties arising from a temporary and unforeseen increase in activity.
- Working time of 25 hours per week.
- Salary in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
- Appointment within the Haematological Diagnostics Research Group.
