As Principal Solution Architect for Embedded Platforms, you will lead strategic integration efforts with top ISV partners to embed Sovos technology into their products. You’ll shape platform capabilities, provide technical guidance, and mentor other architects while aligning with enterprise-scale goals. You’ll influence product direction through architecture governance and executive-level engagement. This role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, tax technology, and partner ecosystems, offering high-impact opportunities to scale embedded compliance solutions.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead discovery and solution architecture for strategic ISV partnerships to design scalable embedded compliance solutions
• Produce architecture documentation, integration designs, and roadmaps for partner integrations
• Design enterprise-grade integration architectures using APIs, webhooks, and cloud-native patterns
• Evaluate and recommend API integration approaches including REST, webhooks, and event-driven models
• Establish governance and testing frameworks for scalable, secure partner integrations
• Set strategic technical objectives across embedded partnerships and resolve critical technical challenges
• Establish governance for partner health monitoring, risk management, and integration quality
• Build relationships with Product, Engineering, and Compliance leaders at partner organizations
• Deliver executive presentations, architecture workshops, and strategic reviews
• Mentor other Solution Architects and promote best practices across the organization




• Influence platform strategy and future product capabilities through partner feedback
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Partner Account Managers, Sales Engineers and Compliance teams during solution design and delivery
• Represent Sovos in customer events, industry conferences, and advisory boards
Responsabilidades
• 10+ years in product, tax/ERP technology consulting, enterprise software engineering, or similar software industry roles
• Proven understanding of global tax compliance and indirect tax processes across multiple jurisdictions
• Experience designing enterprise integration solutions using APIs, webhooks, cloud-native technologies and modern architectural patterns
• Experience with tax compliance, ERP integration, e-invoicing or regulatory technology platforms (Sovos experience advantageous)
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, event-driven xqbhyrx architectures and enterprise integration principles
• Previous experience supporting ISVs through solution architecture, technical consulting, or strategic partnerships
• Proven success managing complex technical relationships with enterprise software vendors or strategic partners
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence senior executives and translate technical concepts into business outcomes
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional experience across Product, Engineering, Sales and Customer Success
• Willingness to travel ~10–25% for partner engagements, customer meetings and events
