Cobee by Pluxee is changing how it builds its data model. Instead of a centralised team building integral entities, each product domain will own and maintain its own data layer. You'll be one of the engineers making that shift happen.
As an Analyst Engineer , you'll embed in a product domain and build the transformation layer between raw data and business consumption. You'll take Bronze data and turn it into a reliable, well‑tested Silver layer, applying the same discipline to data models that a software engineer applies to application code. Your output isn't insights or reports. It's production‑grade models other teams can depend on.
You'll work closely with the product team in your domain, coordinate with centralised Data Engineers on upstream changes, and take part in the Data Council, the cross‑domain group that keeps standards consistent as the distributed model scales.
What you’ll be doing
As an Analyst Engineer, you will:
- Build and maintain production‑grade data models following industry best practices and established data engineering standards.
- Design stable and well‑structured data schemas with clear naming conventions, defined granularity and documented business logic.
- Implement automated data quality controls , including tests, validations, and business‑rule checks as part of the development lifecycle.
- Monitor and maintain data reliability , proactively identifying and resolving data quality, freshness, and performance issues.
- Manage data model evolution through versioning, change management, and clear communication with downstream consumers.
- Work within a modern software engineering workflow using Git, pull requests, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data solutions align with business requirements and organizational standards.
- Contribute to data governance initiatives , promote best practices, and share knowledge across teams.
- Solid SQL skills ,includingwindow functions, CTEs, incremental processing patterns, and optimization techniques.
- Hands‑on experience with dbt , including modeling, testing, documentation, macros, and package management.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts , such as dimensional modeling, schema design, snapshotting, and incremental approaches.
- A software engineering workflow: git, pull requests, and CI/CD for data , treating dbt models as production code.
- Familiarity with data quality frameworks, monitoring, observability, and anomaly detection practices.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data models and data products.
- Experience working in cross‑functional teams and communicating technical decisions clearly to non‑data engineers.
- Experience with ClickHouse is a plus.
- You’ll thrive in this role if you’re comfortable communicating in English and Spanish, enjoy collaborating with multicultural teams, and are motivated by solving complex data challenges in a global environment.
To get this challenge
- Video call with a member of the People team to get to know you and your motivations.
- Discussion with the Product Manager and Engineering Manager about your experience, ambitions, and fit within Cobee by Pluxee Data Product Team.
- Technical conversation with team members, including a data modeling challenge to explore your SQL, dbt, and schema design skills.
Your team
You’ll be part of the Data Product Team , embedded in a specific product domain within Cobee by Pluxee. Day‑to‑day you’ll work alongside the product engineers and Tech Lead in your domain. You stay connected to the broader data team through the Data Council, where all embedded engineers align on standards, review each other’s Silver changes, and share learnings across domains.
