Who we are: Ventós Group is an international company specialized in the distribution and production of Essential Oils & Aroma Chemicals with the Head Quarters located in Barcelona, Spain. The group has 9 subsidiaries around the world.
As part of our transformation journey, we are looking for an Operations Manager to lead our operations in Barcelona and help us build a more standardized, efficient and high-performing operational organization.
Reporting directly to the Corporate Operations Directorand forming part of the Global Operations leadership team, this role combines operational leadership with the deployment of Operational Excellence across our Barcelona operations.
Our Barcelona operations are the heart of our global supply chain and will serve as the benchmark for our future operational model. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, developing people, solving problems and continuously improving the way operations are run.
Your Mission Your mission is to lead our operations in Barcelona, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, service and productivity while building a culture of accountability, operational discipline and continuous improvement.
You will define, implement and sustain the operational standards that will become the benchmark for Ernesto Ventós as we continue strengthening our international operations.
Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership Lead the day-to-day operations across our Barcelona facilities, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, service and operational performance.
Develop, coach and inspire warehouse supervisors and operational teams,
creating a high-performance culture based on accountability and ownership.
Monitor operational performance through KPIs, ensuring robust action plans and sustainable results.
Optimize operational capacity, workflows and resource utilization to maximize efficiency. Anticipate operational risks and ensure timely corrective actions.
Lead operational projects that support the company's transformation and future growth.
Operational Excellence Lead the deployment of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies across all Barcelona operations.
Design, implement and sustain operational standards and best practices. Drive Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
Implement Lean tools including 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, Kanban, SMED and Value Stream Mapping.
Promote structured problem-solving using methodologies such as A3, PDCA, 5 Whys and Ishikawa.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, inventory accuracy, service levels, quality and resource utilization.
Ensure improvements are embedded through standardization, training and performance follow-up.
Cross-functional Collaboration Partner closely with Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality and EHS to improve end-to-end operational performance.
Support warehouse optimization, automation and operational development projects.
Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures and operational policies.
Contribute to the implementation of new systems, technologies and best practices.
Who You Are University Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
7–10 years of experience leading operations within an industrial or logistics environment.
Proven experience managing warehouse operations and developing frontline leaders.
Strong experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to improve operational KPIs through data-driven decision making.
A hands-on leader who enjoys being close to the operation, coaching teams and leading by example.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
