We are a trusted integral championing industry leader disrupting the pathway to space access. We are on a mission to reach new heights by making space more accessible, supporting missions that will make us smarter, safer and wealthier. Our purpose is to propel new futures, to enable progress from space and enrich peoples’ lives on Earth, by moving new economies, people and world forward. Mission The Avionics V&V; Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the verification and validation strategy for avionics products across their full lifecycle, from early development and qualification campaigns to recurrent production and acceptance testing. This role ensures that test activities are properly defined, planned, executed, reviewed and closed, generating robust technical evidence to demonstrate product compliance, maturity and readiness for integration or flight. The position requires coordinating multidisciplinary activities, anticipating verification risks, driving process standardization and transforming testing into a repeatable, scalable and industrialized capability. Responsibilities Coordinate the overall execution of Avionics V&V; activities across multiple products, campaigns and programs. Drive the standardization of V&V; practices by defining common deliverables, maturity review gates for test definition, preparation, execution, evidence collection, result analysis and requirement closure. Ensure every product test campaign has a clear owner, scope, schedule, verification strategy and closure criteria. Support the definition and prioritization of verification strategies, test specifications and acceptance criteria. Provide technical support and guidance across the main V&V; activities, including test definition, procedure preparation, execution, test infrastructure development, automation, environmental test campaigns, evidence generation and result assessment. Coordinate the closure of open actions and maturity gaps before key technical reviews, especially TRR and TRB,
ensuring that test activities reach the required level of preparation, quality and anticipation before execution or result closure. Monitor V&V; risks, bottlenecks, resource constraints and critical dependencies. Support anomaly investigations, NCRs, deviations and waivers. Ensure that test results and evidence are suitable for requirement closure. Drive standardization, automation and industrialization of recurrent test activities. Promote lessons learned, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team. Necessary Requirements Engineering degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar. Significant experience in verification, validation, testing or integration of complex aerospace, defense, or safety-critical systems. Strong technical background in electrical, electronic and electromechanical systems, including knowledge in power electronics, digital/analog electronics, radiofrequency, harnessing, sensors, actuators, and embedded systems. Solid understanding of electronic hardware verification at different levels, from PCBA and subassembly testing to unit, subsystem and system-level validation. Experience with functional testing, electrical checkout, troubleshooting, failure investigation and root cause analysis of electronic or avionics equipment. Strong understanding of product lifecycle, requirements verification, test planning and test execution processes. Experience with test specifications, test procedures, test reports, requirement verification and evidence-based product acceptance. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities or complex test campaigns involving hardware, software, test equipment, production, quality and systems engineering stakeholders.
