HIGHLIGHTSA well-established Iberian dairy trading leader seeks an experienced Dairy Trader to develop commercial relationships and expand business across Spain and Portugal. What are you going to do?As Dairy Trader, you develop and manage commercial relationships with suppliers and customers across the European dairy industry. Based in Madrid alongside fellow traders, you identify trading opportunities, negotiate contracts, monitor market developments, and build a profitable trading portfolio combining purchasing, sales, market analysis, relationship management, and commercial negotiation.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Buy and sell dairy products and ingredients across European markets, developing relationships with suppliers and customers
Identify new business opportunities within Spain and Portugal and build a strong network within the dairy industry
Negotiate contracts, prices, volumes, and delivery conditions while managing commercial agreements from negotiation through execution
Monitor dairy market developments, pricing trends, and supply-demand dynamics across Europe to identify profitable trading positions
Visit customers regularly throughout Spain and Portugal, building long‑term relationships and understanding customer requirements
Develop relationships with dairy suppliers across Europe, securing competitive sourcing opportunities and negotiating purchasing agreements
Share market information and commercial opportunities with fellow traders, logistics, and administration colleagues

Job requirements
Minimum 2‑5 years of experience in dairy trading, dairy ingredients, or dairy manufacturing environments
Proven understanding of dairy products, dairy markets, and European supply chains
Demonstrated commercial experience in international environments with account management and negotiation expertise
Native Spanish speaker with fluent English;

Portuguese, French, German, or Dutch highly preferred
Experience developing supplier relationships and securing competitive sourcing opportunities
