This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. You will be part of the Sevensense by ABB team across Spain and Switzerland, building, optimizing, and maintaining our industry‑leading visual localization system. The team operates in Sant Quirze del Vallès (Barcelona) and Zurich, Switzerland.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product, and/or solution development, as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP). Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related issues and maintenance. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Implementing CI/CD integrations, infrastructure improvements, and job orchestration features to increase development and release velocity.
Supporting the Robotic Systems team by developing, maintaining and scaling automated test execution pipelines across virtual and HIL environments.
Optimizing the backend of our on‑premise map sharing solution.




Qualifications for the Role
3+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
Degree in Computer Science, Robotics or a related field.
You are at ease communicating in English.
Experience with Python and at least one compiled language like Rust or C++.
Expertise with DevOps topics such as containerization, virtualization, OS deployment and configuration on Linux and Debian‑based distributions.
Bonus points for experience with web backend (REST), frontend (React), agentic engineering, IPv4 networking.
Bonus points for familiarity with robotics, ROS2, embedded Linux (Jetson).
