This research line focuses on the design, synthesis and optimization of advanced functional materials—including biochar, hydrochar, MOFs, COFs and perovskites—for applications in electrochemical water splitting and Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs). It aims to overcome current limitations in catalytic systems (efficiency, cost and stability) through the integration of waste-derived precursors and innovative material engineering strategies, contributing to sustainable catalysis and circular economy approaches.

Eligibility criteriaMSCA-PF are for postdoctoral researchers with up to 8 years of research experience from the date of PhD award. Applicants from any country are eligible but must meet mobility rules: they must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the call deadline (10/09/2026).
