Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Primary Art and Music Teacher role based in El Puerto de Santa María. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging art and music lessons for primary-aged pupils, aligning with the school’s curriculum and educational philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, teaching music (with an emphasis on choir work), guiding students in basic music theory and performance, and leading creative art activities that develop artistic skills and self-expression. The role involves organising and rehearsing choir performances, supporting school events and concerts, assessing student progress,



and providing constructive feedback to pupils and families. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, contribute to school projects, and actively participate in the wider school community.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Music Theory and Music Education to design effective, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Candidates should possess solid Music Performance and general Music skills, with the ability to lead choir rehearsals and school performances.
- Candidates should possess Piano skills or proficiency in a primary instrument to support classroom teaching and ensemble work.
- Experience teaching art to primary students, including drawing, painting, and creative projects that promote visual expression.
- Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Music Education, Art Education, Primary Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with primary-aged learners in a school setting, with an inclusive, student-centered approach.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement choir and music performances as part of school events.
- Proficiency in English; Spanish language skills are an advantage.
