Akronos Technologies, Italian company leader in innovation, R&D; and high-tech engineering services, is looking for a DPF CALIBRATION ENGINEER to join our R&D; team.
DEPARTMENT: ENGINE DEVELOPMENT, VALIDATION and CALIBRATION
Tasks
The selected candidate will be responsible to support Punch organization executing engine calibration and development activities.
Primary purpose of the position and description of the major expected results or objectives include the following:
- Preparation and check of the engine instrumentation;
- Support and coordinate engine installation at the test bench;
- Test definition and execution according to test methodologies;
- Analysis of the experimental results;
- Test reports preparation;
- Present test results to dedicated meetings;
Education
- Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar;
The Skills
- Engine base mechanical knowledge;
- Good knowledge of the Diesel combustion process;
- Awareness of Diesel calibration plan;
- Good knowledge of aftertreatment systems;
- Minimum two years of experience in DPF calibration
- Soot models (accumulation and burning models)
- Oil Dilution
- Good English knowledge,
both written and spoken (capable to prepare and explain technical presentations);
- Manage contacts with internal and external facility during test execution;
- Attitude in specific software utilization (Office, Concerto, Inca, Indicating systems)
- Knowledge of analysis and modelling tools (Matlab/Simulink)

The execution may occasionally include the operational management in an autonomous way of the HIL, Hydraulic Rig and PUMA Console.
Salary range 26k-32k

The position falls under the Commerce and Service Sector National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) applied by Akronos Technologies Group. Placement within the salary range will be determined based on technical skills, specific role experience, and the outcome of the selection process, in accordance with objective, pre-defined criteria. For candidates whose profiles significantly exceed the indicated range, a review may be considered subject to internal approval.
