Job Description
At zooplus, we're building the technology behind one of Europe's largest online pet platforms. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join the team responsible for zooplus Club, our membership and loyalty platform that serves millions of customers across more than 25 European markets. You'll work in a cross‑functional Agile team to design, build and operate scalable backend services that power customer loyalty, rewards and engagement. Working closely with Product Managers, Designers and fellow engineers,
you'll help shape technical solutions that deliver real business impact while contributing to a modern cloud‑native platform. If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, taking ownership from design to production, and working with modern backend technologies, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll do
Design, build and maintain scalable backend services using Kotlin
Develop APIs, event‑driven services and microservices that power our loyalty platform
Own features throughout the full software development lifecycle—from technical design and implementation to deployment and production support
Contribute to the evolution of our event‑driven architecture and cloud‑native platform
Collaborate closely with Product Managers and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
Write clean, well‑tested, maintainable code and participate in code reviews and pair programming
Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve application performance, reliability and scalability
