Your role and responsibilities

Architect complex event‑driven solutions using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink, and lead the technical relationship with strategic enterprise accounts.

Own the technical discovery process, mapping business pain points to Confluent product value propositions using the CLUSTER framework.

Serve as a trusted thought partner, driving the “technical win” during critical phases of the customer lifecycle.

Lead comprehensive technical discovery sessions with high‑value prospects to uncover customer challenges and the underlying why.

Support opportunity qualification and participate in MEDDPICC framework activities, filling technical criteria, building champions, and shaping business wins.

Develop, conduct,



and manage the technical execution of RFPs/RFIs, building and customizing PoCs that demonstrate Confluent’s low‑latency streaming advantage.

Act as an escalation point for complex technical objections and systemic issues, leveraging deep knowledge of Kafka/Flink internals.

Advocate for customers internally, sharing key field learnings and architecture patterns across core internal Slack channels to influence product roadmaps.

Required education
Bachelor’s Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

Production‑level experience with Apache Kafka internals and the Confluent Ecosystem, including Confluent Cloud, Schema Registry, Connectors, and ksqlDB.

Strong hands‑on experience with Apache Flink for stateful stream processing, including state management, checkpointing, windowing, and Flink SQL optimization.

High proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python for building custom event‑driven applications, producers/consumers
