As an Associate Electrical Design Engineer in Madrid, you will lead major data centre projects within a global consultancy known for low energy design. You’ll coordinate engineering services across electrical installations, guide teams, and drive project feasibility, design and delivery. You’ll help ensure compliance, robustness, and value for clients while contributing to a sustainable, global-built-environment mission. This role offers hands-on leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to shape critical electrical systems for high-profile projects.

• Lead major projects and manage engineering design and coordination for electrical installations
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and prepare fee bids
• Review schedules, prepare management reports, and adjust plans as needed
• Develop specifications for controls and operating systems for building services
• Survey and report on existing installations; ensure compliance with standards
• Represent the company in technical meetings with clients and contractors
• Ensure calculations and drawings meet industry standards and customer requirements
• Provide day-to-day project progress decisions and client liaison
• Coordinate engineering services and mentor team members
• Support project delivery across management, QA/QC, and technical review processes
Responsabilidades
• Grado or Master en Ingeniería, or equivalent professional experience
• Registered with a recognised Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros
• Chartered Eng status or equivalent + relevant experience
• Significant experience in design for various building types
• Knowledge of HSE issues, contracts, and business law
• Proficiency with MS Office and calculation/spreadsheet tools
• Understanding of BS standards/UK regulations/codes
• Experience with invoicing and credit control
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Experience in consulting or construction and international operations
