Build the infrastructure powering the next generation of AI companies We're partnering with one of Europe's most ambitious AI infrastructure startups to hire the first Engineering Leader for their new Barcelona hub. This company is building the revenue engine for AI agents, helping AI-native companies transform usage into accurate, scalable, and compliant billing. Backed by top-tier investors, the company has already raised $33 M in pre-seed and seed funding, reaching a valuation of over $100 M. 1. Why this role is special This is not a "maintain legacy systems" role. This is not a "manage people and sit in meetings" role. You'll join at the earliest stage as the founding technical hire in Barcelona, working directly with an elite founding team to build the engineering culture, product, and future team from the ground up. You'll have real ownership, real influence, and the opportunity to shape a company from day one. The founding team You'll work alongside operators who have already built category-defining companies: CEO previously scaled a company to $250 M ARR and a $4.4 B valuation. CPO previously founded and sold a billing infrastructure company to Salesforce. Early engineers and advisors come from Stripe, Meta, and Palantir. The Barcelona office will become the company's founding engineering hub in Europe. 2. What you'll do As Founding Engineering Lead, you'll combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You’ll: Architect and build core product features from scratch. Design systems for pricing intelligence, usage tracking, billing, and margin analytics.



Work directly with the founders on technical strategy and product direction. Define the engineering culture and best practices for the Barcelona hub. Hire, mentor, and grow the first local engineering team. This role is designed for someone who loves building quickly, solving difficult technical problems, and taking significant ownership. 3. What we're looking for We're looking for builders who are deeply customer-obsessed. People who thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and enjoy creating products from zero to one. Adecuado background 7+ years of software engineering experience. Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups. Strong backend expertise with the ability to contribute across the stack. Experience with complex infrastructure, billing, payments, usage tracking, or distributed systems. Leadership potential through mentoring, technical ownership, and hiring. Strong signals Experience at companies such as Stripe, Palantir, Meta, or other leading infrastructure startups. Previous experience as a Founding Engineer. Background in Fin Tech, infrastructure, or developer tools. AI-native mindset with strong leverage of AI tools in day-to-day engineering. Join an exceptional team at a very early stage.
