ppbPay: /b €30,000.00-€35,000.00 per year /ppbJob Type: /b Full-time /ppbStart Date /b: August 2026 /ppbCore Requirements of the Post /b /ppHamelin-Laie International School Barcelona is seeking an organised and proactive Maintenance Manager to support the effective operation, maintenance, and safety compliance of the school campus. /ppThe successful candidate will coordinate daily maintenance and facilities activities, support operational readiness across the school, and assist in the implementation and monitoring of Health Safety and Occupational Risk Prevention procedures in accordance with Spanish legislation and school policies. /ppThe role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple operational priorities while working collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors. The Health Safety Coordinator will contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for students, staff, and visitors. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3h3Facilities Maintenance Coordination /h3ulliLead the day-to-day coordination of maintenance and facilities operations across the school campus. /liliDevelop, implement, and monitor a preventive maintenance plan for school buildings, equipment, and installations. /liliCoordinate and supervise the daily tasks and priorities of the maintenance team, ensuring efficient organisation and appropriate follow-up. /liliManage and monitor maintenance requests through the school ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders. /liliConduct regular inspections of the campus to proactively identify maintenance needs, operational issues, or areas for improvement. /liliCoordinate external contractors and service providers, ensuring works are completed according to school standards, timelines, and safety requirements. /liliMaintain accurate records of maintenance works, inspections, service reports, and supplier documentation. /liliSupport operational improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous enhancement of school facilities. /liliEnsure facilities are operationally ready daily for students, staff, and visitors. /liliSupport the setup and logistics of school events and operational activities when required. /li /ulh3Health Safety and Occupational Risk Prevention Support /h3ulliSupport the Operations Health and Safety Manager in the implementation of Health Safety and Occupational Risk Prevention procedures.



/liliAssist with routine safety inspections and the follow-up of corrective actions. /liliUse the school's reporting systems, including Sphera, to report and monitor hazards, incidents, and near misses. /liliSupport the management and maintenance of Health Safety documentation, inspection logs, and compliance records. /liliAssist in monitoring fire safety equipment, emergency signage, and evacuation procedures. /liliSupport the coordination of emergency drills, training sessions, and safety awareness initiatives. /liliLiaise with external prevention and compliance providers when required. /liliEscalate relevant safety concerns or operational risks to the Operations Health and Safety Manager. /liliPromote a positive culture of safety awareness and compliance across the school community. /li /ulh3Skills, Knowledge and Competencies /h3ulliVocational Training, bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Occupational Risk Prevention, Health Safety, or a related field. /liliCertified training in Occupational Risk Prevention (Prevención de Riesgos Laborales) in accordance with Spanish legislation. /liliMinimum Intermediate Level ("Técnico Intermedio en PRL - 300h") required; Higher Level qualification ("Técnico Superior en PRL") desirable. /liliProven experience in facilities coordination, maintenance operations, Health Safety support, or a similar operational role. /liliExperience working within schools, educational environments, hospitality, or complex operational organisations desirable. /liliGood understanding of Spanish Health Safety and Occupational Risk Prevention regulations. /liliAbility to coordinate contractors, maintenance activities, and operational priorities effectively. /liliStrong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail. /liliAbility to maintain accurate records and manage documentation systematically. /liliExperience using reporting systems, ticketing platforms, or facilities management systems desirable.
