What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a QA engineering team of ~10, managing performance and fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Own the QA strategy and processes across multiple product teams, establishing standards and best practices to ensure consistently high quality and reliability of critical software products.
- Oversee test planning and automation – direct the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated testing frameworks, ensuring thorough coverage for new features and releases.
- Solve complex quality challenges by implementing innovative testing solutions and driving ongoing process improvements to enhance product quality and team efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, product management, and other teams to integrate QA into the software development lifecycle and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
- Monitor quality metrics and testing outcomes, providing clear visibility into product quality, risks, and improvements for stakeholders and senior leadership.
What You'll Need
- Extensive QA experience – 10+ years in software quality assurance or test engineering, including at least 2 years in a leadership role managing QA engineers.
- Deep QA knowledge – strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and industry best practices, with a track record of defining and implementing effective test strategies for complex, high-impact software systems.
- Test automation expertise – hands-on experience building and using automated testing frameworks and tools,
plus familiarity with non-functional testing (performance, security, etc.).
- Problem-solving skills – proven ability to tackle complex quality issues with creative, efficient solutions and to drive continuous process improvements.
- Leadership abilities – demonstrated skill in leading and developing teams, motivating high performance, and instilling accountability for quality results.
- Communication skills – excellent ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clearly convey testing status, issues, and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Educational background – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
