In this role you will join the Transmission & Distribution Engineering team to lead and deliver technically complex cable design projects from feasibility to commissioning. You will engage with clients and multi-disciplinary teams to define scopes, manage interfaces, and ensure high-quality deliverables on large-scale infrastructure programs. The position anchors the delivery of core HV/EHV cable systems within the UK grid context and contributes to cutting-edge energy projects. You will influence safety, standards compliance, and client satisfaction while mentoring junior staff.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead client discussions on cable design scopes and interfaces with internal teams
• Steer technical delivery by defining approach, monitoring progress, and quality checking deliverables
• Ensure full lifecycle cable packages from feasibility to commissioning
• Review HV/DC cable system designs, including route, burial, and calculations
• Collaborate with civil, substation, and OHL teams for integrated solutions
• Own detailed engineering documentation and guide project execution
• Ensure designs meet codes, standards, and quality requirements
• Interact with manufacturers, suppliers,



and contractors to verify IEC, CIGRÉ, and National Grid standards
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, HAZID/HAZOPs, and cross-disciplinary coordination
• Demonstrate commercial awareness for proposals, cost control, and opportunity identification
• Build client relationships and adopt a client-focused project delivery mindset
• Mentor and develop junior staff to grow team capability

Responsabilidades
• Degree qualified in electrical or power systems engineering
• Strong experience in Cable System Design Engineering for HV/EHV projects
• FEED experience essential
• Experience in senior roles within complex multi-discipline projects for UK & Ireland clients
• Experience with National Grid projects advantageous
• Proven client relationship management and business development skills
• Chartership and CDAE certifications advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English and Spanish
