As Procurement Category Manager in Group Procurement - Raw Materials, you define and execute global category strategies for pharmaceutical raw materials, with a focus on Rare Disease portfolio. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and GMP/compliance. You lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and complex negotiations, building long-term supplier relationships. You monitor performance, manage budgets, and drive cost-saving initiatives. • Define and implement global category strategies aligned with Group Procurement and business objectives
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including supplier scouting, selection, complex negotiations and long-term agreements
• Participate in business reviews, problem-solving sessions, and support cost negotiations and action item implementations
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers globally to ensure supply continuity with appropriate sourcing strategies
• Collaborate with QA, RA, MSAT, Supply Chain to monitor supplier performance, qualification, change management, audits and GMP compliance
• Define annual budget and forecasts; monitor financial performance with Finance and Supply Chain
• Deliver procurement targets and drive cost-saving and value-improvement initiatives
• Manage procurement data in ERP systems (SAP) and support supplier management in e-procurement platforms
• Analyze market trends, pricing evolution and supply risks
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to optimize inventory and continuity of supply
• Contribute to Raw Materials Team initiatives and harmonized performance reporting
Responsabilidades
• 5-6 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Development or Proposal management within pharmaceutical or chemical sectors
• Direct experience sourcing pharmaceutical raw materials or equivalent processes
• Negotiation and stakeholder management with international suppliers in complex contexts
• Experience in managing contracts and commercial agreements
• Familiarity with GMP and regulated industries
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (QA, RA, MSAT, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) and a problem-solving mindset
• Strong analytical skills with experience in market data interpretation and cost/TCO analysis
• Experience with global supply markets (Europe, US, India, China)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Languages: Mandatory English; preferred Italian, French or German
