ppOlympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee in 2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcast organisation for all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games. /p h3About The Role: /h3 pThe Broadcast Technology Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of key broadcast technology projects within the Venue Technical Operations (VTO) department. This role brings together technical expertise, project ownership and vendor management to ensure new broadcast solutions are clearly defined, successfully integrated, tested and ready for Games-time operations. /p pWorking across the Olympic lifecycle, the Broadcast Technology Manager will act as a key link between VTO, Broadcast Engineering, Technology, Cyber Security, Production Technical Managers and external partners. The role will help deliver secure, reliable and future-focused broadcast technology solutions that support OBS’ mission to bring the Olympic Games to audiences around the world. /p h3Duties Responsibilities: /h3 ul liDevelop technology roadmaps and assess emerging broadcast technologies for future Olympic Games. /li liEnsure solutions meet OBS operational needs and support the long-term technology strategy. /li liIdentify opportunities to improve broadcast operations and introduce new ways of working. /li liFollow emerging broadcast technologies and assess their potential use for future Games. /li /ul h3Technical Integration /h3 ul liLead the implementation and integration of Software Defined Broadcasting (SDB) architectures, including virtualised production, IP media infrastructures, cloud-enabled workflows and modern broadcast orchestration platforms. /li liProvide technical ownership for UHD and High Dynamic Range (HDR) production workflows, with expert knowledge of Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), HDR/SDR interoperability, colour management and professional video and audio standards. /li liSupport projects involving audio over IP, timing, remote production, virtualised production systems and monitoring platforms. /li liContribute to the integration of cloud-enabled broadcast workflows where relevant. /li /ul h3Project Management /h3 ul liLead complex broadcast technology projects from concept through to Games-time delivery. /li liDevelop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risks and dependencies. /li liCoordinate teams across OBS departments and external partners. /li liPrepare clear progress updates and reports for senior stakeholders. /li liManage project governance, documentation and change control. /li liEnsure a smooth handover into Games-time support and operations. /li liDefine clear technical requirements,



specifications and Statements of Work. /li liReview technical proposals and support supplier selection activities. /li liManage relationships with assigned technology vendors and service providers. /li liMonitor supplier performance against agreed deliverables and technical requirements. /li liCoordinate design reviews, technical workshops, testing, commissioning and operational readiness activities. /li liWork with internal stakeholders to resolve technical, delivery and commercial issues. /li /ul h3Cyber Security (Knowledge) /h3 ul liEnsure broadcast technology solutions follow OBS cyber security policies and standards. /li liApply secure-by-design principles throughout project planning and delivery. /li liWork with Cyber Security specialists to review risks and mitigation plans. /li liSupport supplier security reviews and technical compliance activities. /li liPromote good cyber security practices across assigned technology projects. /li /ul h3Games-time Responsibilities /h3 ul liRelocate to the Host City during Games-time, expected to be around 4 months maximum. /li liSupport installation, integration, commissioning and operational delivery. /li liProvide technical ownership of video quality standards. /li liProvide issue resolution and service recovery. /li liSupport Venue Technical Operations throughout the Games period. /li /ul h3Skills, Requirements Qualifications: /h3 ul liDegree in Advanced Electronics, Broadcast Engineering or a related technical field. /li liMore than 10-12 years of relevant international experience, including at least 8 years in similar roles involving complex broadcast operations or technology integration projects. /li liExtensive knowledge of software-defined broadcasting and modern IP-based broadcast environments. /li liExtensive knowledge of professional video and audio standards, including UHD and HDR workflows. /li liKnowledge of SMPTE ST 2110, NMOS, PTP and related broadcast technology standards. /li liExperience with systems integration, interoperability testing and operational readiness activities. /li liExperience implementing cloud-enabled or virtualised broadcast technologies. /li liExperience managing international technology vendors, service providers and cross-functional stakeholders.



/li liProven project management experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary technical programmes. /li liExperience in live broadcast operations and/or major international sporting events. /li liStrong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. /li liExperience with Olympic Broadcasting Services, another Host Broadcaster or major event broadcasting environment. /li liUnderstanding of cyber security principles relevant to broadcast technology projects. /li liFamiliarity with broadcast standards bodies such as SMPTE, EBU, DVB or JT-NM. /li liProject management qualifications such as PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent. /li /ul h3What we offer: /h3 ul liHealth Well-being– Private health insurance, mental health support, wellness gym programs.
