About the role:
We are looking for a proactive, curious, and reliable FPGA Engineer to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge Space and Defense programs. You will play a key role in delivering mission-critical FPGA solutions working to the highest standards of quality and reliability that Space and Defense customers demand.
What you will do:
- RTL Design & Implementation: Design and implement RTL logic using VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog, targeting Xilinx FPGA and SoC platforms
- Verification & Testing: Develop and automate verification testbenches for HDL cores using Python-based frameworks (e.g. cocotb) and VHDL/Verilog
- High-Speed Interface Integration: Integrate and validate high-speed communication interfaces (e.g. Aurora, PCIe, SpaceFibre) within FPGA designs
- Verification Planning: Define, implement, and document verification plans and activities in accordance with applicable FPGA development standards
- System Architecture Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (including hardware, software, and systems engineers) to define and implement system-level architectures
- Hardware Bring-Up & Validation: Support hardware bring-up, integration,
and validation activities in lab environments.
- Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain clear technical and project documentation
What you need:
- University Degree on Computer Science or Electronic Engineering
- Master’s Degree on Electronics (non-excluding)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in FPGA design and development
- Experience on space-related projects, with familiarity with applicable industry standards (e.g. ECSS) (non-excluding)
- Strong proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog
- Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and SoC architectures
- Experience integrating high-speed communication interfaces such as Aurora, PCIe, SpaceFibre, or similar
- Knowledge of HDL simulation tools, frameworks, and verification methodologies (e.g. cocotb, UVM, QuestaSim)
- Experience with Git for version control and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and environments
- Advanced English
- Advanced Spanish
