We’re partnering with an innovative, high-growth mobile gaming company to appoint a Head of Development .

This is a critical leadership role with full ownership of the technical direction across a growing portfolio of mobile games, spanning client architecture, backend systems, and internal tooling.

We’re looking for a hands-on engineering leader who combines strong technical depth with the ability to build and scale high-performing teams. You’ll operate at the intersection of engineering, product, data, and growth, driving both technical excellence and rapid iteration.

Key responsibilities:

- Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture across the gaming ecosystem
- Establish engineering standards, scalable systems, and efficient development practices
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing development team
- Contribute directly to development, tackling complex technical challenges when needed




- Partner closely with product and data teams to enable fast experimentation and iteration
- Leverage AI and automation to enhance development efficiency and output

Requirements:

- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Proven track record leading engineering teams within mobile gaming or mobile products
- Strong expertise in scalable architecture, performance optimisation, and backend systems
- Experience operating in data-driven, experimentation-led environments
- Clear interest in applying AI within engineering workflows
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
