Position Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Loca Compliance and Labor Relations Expert with a strategic, analytical, and people-oriented approach to join our Legal & Compliance department in Spain.
The selected professional will be responsible for the comprehensive management of labor relations within the organization, ensuring compliance with current labor regulations, consistent application of internal policies, and the promotion of an ethical, fair, and transparent work environment.
This role combines traditional labor relations management with the implementation, supervision, and continuous improvement of the Compliance management system, ensuring that all practices align with applicable legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Reports to Global Head of Compliance.
Job Description
Compliance Management:
- Responsible for the local (regional) implementation, maintenance and development of the Compliance Management Program (CMS).
- Responsible for the coordination and handling of compliance matters (e.g. compliance investigations, compliance processes, compliance communication, compliance risk management
- Implements global Compliance guidelines; further develops the Compliance Management on local (regional)
level in adapting general processes and guidelines in accordance with local regulation.
- Monitors and steers the implementation, documentation and the progress and further development of the Compliance Management Systems.
- supports the business units and Group companies in the implementation of compliance risk-related tasks.
- integrates the compliance risk management solutions as part of the compliance management system on the one hand and Group's risk management architecture in cooperation with other Group divisions such as IT, Finance & Accounting and Quality Management.
- Establishes compliance risk inventory, including the systematic analysis and assessment of risks with internal and external contacts (KYC).
- Design, implement, and oversee the Compliance management system within the organization, ensuring compliance with national and international applicable regulations with a special focus on employment, equality, anti-harassment, privacy, and employee data protection.
- Collaborate with the Global Legal and Compliance departments in identifying and managing risks.
- Conduct internal audits and periodic reviews regarding compliance and the application of corporate policies.
- Coordinate training and awareness programs on compliance for employees and middle management.
- Supervise the handling of reports and inquiries through the ethics or whistleblowing channel, ensuring confidentiality and resolution in accordance with internal protocols.
- Prepare periodic reports on the level of compliance, detected incidents, and improvement recommendations.

Labor Relations Management:
- Advise management and the HR department on labor law, collective bargaining agreements, conflict management, and relations with employee representatives.
- Participate in collective bargaining processes, interpretation, and application of agreements, contracts, and internal policies.
- Maintain a fluent and constructive relationship with works councils, actively participating in negotiations and conflict resolution.
- Participate in decision-making related to disciplinary actions, terminations, or restructurings, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
- Keep internal labor policies up to date,
aligning them with best practices in the industry and the company’s overall strategy.
- Promote constructive and transparent labor relations, fostering effective communication between employees, managers, and HR.
- Collaborate with different business areas and work sites, including occasional travel for meetings or negotiations with works councils or union representatives.
Experience & Further Qualifications
- University degree in Labor Relations, Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or complementary training in Labor Law, People Management, or Compliance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior roles in labor relations or legal-labor advisory.
- Proven experience in working with and negotiating with works councils and union representatives.
- In-depth knowledge of Spanish and European labor legislation, as well as Compliance processes with a special focus on labor and human resources matters.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply regulations, manage conflicts, and provide advice to management and leadership teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical skills, results orientation, and critical thinking.
- High ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality.
- High level of English (spoken and written).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Availability to travel occasionally according to business needs.
