We are currently looking for a Loop Checks Commissioning Supervisor to join a major industrial project.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of loop checks across systems, equipment, and instrumentation within your assigned project area. You will ensure that all control systems are correctly interfaced, tested, and validated in line with design specifications, procedures, P&IDs;, and operational requirements, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

Commissioning Planning

• Develop comprehensive loop check and interface plans, outlining objectives, procedures, and testing schedules

• Collaborate with project engineers, construction teams, and other disciplines to ensure alignment with the overall commissioning schedule

• Review vendor procedures for instrument and loop check testing

Testing & Verification

• Work closely with the Control System Supervisor and coordinate subcontractors during loop checks execution

• Supervise testing of systems including interfaces, interlocks, and permissives with vendors

• Oversee integration testing to ensure systems operate safely and correctly

• Monitor subcontractor progress and implement corrective actions when required (technical and planning)

Test Procedure Development

• Prepare and/or review loop folders, pre-commissioning, and commissioning test procedures (CTPs) in line with project and contractual requirements

• Ensure procedures are clear, detailed, and executed safely and effectively

• Define temporary systems required for testing activities

• Plan vendor support, tools, equipment, and specialist resources

• Coordinate testing schedules with contractors and vendors

Issue Identification & Troubleshooting

• Identify and troubleshoot issues arising during loop checks, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases





• Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate corrective actions

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare or review detailed commissioning reports summarizing activities, results, and deviations

• Maintain accurate records of test results, inspections, punch lists, and compliance documentation

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with the Commissioning Manager, discipline supervisors, subcontractors, vendors, and engineers

• Communicate progress, test results, and issues clearly to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency

Final Acceptance & Handover

• Support final system acceptance, ensuring all control systems meet project and contractual requirements

• Facilitate smooth handover to operations, including full documentation and knowledge transfer

Your Profile

• Degree in Controls / Instrumentation Engineering or a related field

• Strong experience in control systems and loop checks commissioning within industrial projects

• In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including loop checks, interfaces, and software testing (e.g. Modbus, OPC, PLC)

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
