What We're Looking For

✔️ You have a Master's degree in Economics, Business, Finance or a related field.

✔️ 2+ years of experience in banking or a finance/FP&A; role at a startup/scale-up, with work you personally owned.

✔️ Strong accounting fundamentals: you can close a month, read a P&L; and balance sheet critically, and explain what moved and why.

✔️ Hands-on with finance systems and comfortable making them talk to each other: accounting software, Stripe, banking, expense and payroll tools. You automate rather than maintain spreadsheets.

✔️ High ownership and comfort with ambiguity. You build the process, then improve it.

✔️ Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills in English. Dutch or French is a plus.

What You'll Do

✔️ Build our international finance stack from zero: pick and implement the accounting, billing, spend and payroll tools, and connect them so numbers flow without manual work.

✔️ Own billing end to end, from subscription logic to revenue recognition to reconciliation against the ledger.





✔️ Run the monthly close, cash and compliance, together with our external accountant.

✔️ Produce a monthly reporting pack the founders and investors actually use.

✔️ Build and own the financial model, budget and rolling forecast, and turn our SaaS metrics into a single source of truth.

✔️ Be the person the founders check with before we spend money or add headcount.

✔️ Decide what to automate, what to outsource and what to hire, then build the team behind you.

About The Interview

1. Application Review. We'll review your application and get back to you within 48 hours.
2. Screening & technical interview (30 min, online). We want to learn about your motivation to join Spott and what you are looking for next, get a read on your technical skills, and answer your questions.
3. Founder interview (60 min, in-person). An in-person interview with 2 Spott founders at our office in Leuven, focused on ownership, judgment, and how you think about building the function.
