Freelance RBAC Project Manager - Long Term - Greenfield Project

We are seeking an experienced RBAC Project Manager to lead the design and implementation of a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model across the organisation. This is a business-focused governance role responsible for standardising access management, defining role-based permissions, and improving security through a structured access control framework within an Active Directory environment.

Responsibilities

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the RBAC implementation project.
- Design and implement a standardized Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model.
- Work with department managers to define business roles, access profiles, and permission requirements.
- Develop and maintain the RBAC matrix, ensuring alignment with business processes and security policies.
- Assess the application landscape and identify system dependencies to ensure consistent access governance across connected platforms.
- Coordinate the assignment of users to appropriate roles and access profiles.




- Establish governance processes and best practices for ongoing access management.
- Manage project planning, stakeholder engagement, risks, and project delivery.
- Produce clear documentation, standards, and governance procedures.

Experience

- Proven experience delivering end-to-end RBAC implementation projects
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and access governance principles.
- Experience working in Active Directory environments (governance rather than administration).
- Ability to engage and challenge business stakeholders to define effective role models and access structures.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
