What You'll Do

- Lead the technical direction of an Azure Data Engineering team
- Design, build and optimise scalable Azure data pipelines
- Review code and validate pull requests to ensure engineering quality
- Translate architectural guidelines into technical implementations
- Coach and mentor Data Engineers
- Define and promote engineering best practices
- Collaborate closely with Data Platform Architects
- Improve platform performance, reliability and data quality
- Support dimensional data modelling and data warehouse design
- Contribute to the evolution of the Azure data platform
- Troubleshoot and optimise critical Azure data components
- Deliver robust solutions across ingestion, transformation and consumption layers

What you bring

- Extensive experience in Azure Data Engineering
- Strong expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Data Factory




- Solid experience with Mapping Data Flows
- Excellent Databricks and PySpark skills
- Strong SQL expertise
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data warehouses
- Excellent understanding of dimensional modelling (Star Schema)
- Experience performing code reviews and technical mentoring
- Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to make sound technical decisions independently
- Experience with Power BI and semantic modelling is a plus
