Our client is looking for an experienced Director of Quality to lead the quality strategy for a new aerospace production site. This is a key leadership role where you'll be responsible for building a world-class Quality Management System, achieving EN9100 certification, and driving a strong quality culture in a highly automated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Define and implement the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Lead EN9100 (AS9100) and ISO 9001 certification processes.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and aerospace quality requirements.
- Drive operational quality across machining, heat treatment, chemical processing, NDT and metrology activities.
- Implement and manage quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FAI (AS9102), MSA, SPC, 8D and QRQC.
- Lead supplier quality activities, including audits and supplier development.
- Build, manage and develop the Quality team.
- Promote a strong quality culture across the organisation.




- Represent Quality with customers, certification bodies and senior management.
- Support equipment qualification and quality integration into automated production processes.

Requirements
- Engineering degree in Quality, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related field.
- 10–15 years of industrial quality experience, including at least 5 years in a management role.
- Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated industry (defence, medical, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of EN9100 / AS9100, ISO 9001 and Nadcap requirements.
- Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT), dimensional metrology and special processes.
- Solid knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FAI, SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D and QRQC.
- Experience supporting a new production site or industrial ramp-up is highly valued.
- Auditor certification or Six Sigma Black Belt is an advantage.
- Fluent in French and English.
