Nexeo is currently looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a major international company undergoing large-scale data transformation initiatives.

Your role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development and industrialization of modern data solutions supporting business-critical processes and advanced analytics initiatives.

You will work within an Agile environment and collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts and stakeholders to build scalable, secure and high-performance data platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

Data Engineering & Development

- Design, develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
- Build scalable ETL/ELT processes to collect, transform and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Develop high-quality data solutions within a modern cloud-based architecture.
- Optimize data processing performance and ensure data reliability.

Cloud & Data Platform

- Develop and maintain solutions on AWS and Databricks.
- Design and optimize Spark jobs and distributed data processing workflows.
- Contribute to the evolution of the organization's data platform and architecture.
- Implement best practices for data engineering, scalability and maintainability.

Data Management & Quality

- Ensure data quality, consistency and integrity across the entire data lifecycle.




- Optimize SQL queries and data warehouse structures.
- Implement monitoring, maintenance and production support activities.
- Participate in technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Collaboration & Delivery

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Produce technical specifications and unit tests.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
- Ensure timely delivery while respecting quality standards and project deadlines.
- Promote best practices around data engineering and data governance.

Profile

- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- + 10 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer.
- Strong expertise in Python, PySpark and Databricks.
- Solid experience working on AWS cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases and Data Warehousing concepts.
- Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Ability to work autonomously within multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
