General Ledger Accountant – Ghent, Belgium – 12-Month Contract
Our industrial manufacturing client in Ghent is looking for an junior General Ledger Accountant. You'll be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, processing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting payment processes and month-end closings.
Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger postings and journal entries.
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Process and monitor payments.
- Ensure accurate application of debit and credit principles.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist with audits and financial reporting.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of General Ledger accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of debit/credit accounting and payment processing.
- Fluent in Dutch
