We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Financial Controller to strengthen our Finance team and contribute to accurate financial reporting, insightful analyses and the continuous improvement of our finance processes.

THE ROLE

As a Financial Controller, you will be part of our Finance team, contributing to accurate financial reporting and supporting informed business decisions. Combining strong analytical skills with a structured approach, you help translate financial data into meaningful insights while contributing to the continuous improvement of our finance processes.

As our Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

- Preparing and executing the monthly financial closing in line with the established closing calendar.
- Performing variance analyses and ensuring the accuracy, completeness and correct cut-off of financial transactions.
- Monitoring cost budgets in close collaboration with budget holders following each monthly closing.
- Supporting the monthly forecasting process and preparing financial reporting for Damartex Group.
- Preparing and reporting weekly sales figures to Damartex Group and preparing bi-weekly reports for the Commercial Committee.
- Supporting the annual audit process.
- Performing ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions.
- Identifying opportunities to optimise and improve finance processes.
- Translating financial data and analyses into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

- A bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Around 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is an asset.
