As Senior DC Design Manager, you will lead design efforts for AWS data centres across the EMEA region, guiding a multidisciplinary team of Architects, Engineers, and Designers. You’ll manage design documentation, budgets, and external consultants while partnering with internal customers to define scope, schedule, and deliverables. The role emphasizes cost efficiency, security, and reliability to support AWS’s integral infrastructure. You will drive innovative solutions to reduce costs and schedule impacts and travel up to 25% for site work and reviews.

• Communicate conceptual designs and maintain project documentation throughout the construction lifecycle
• Create and track metrics on cost, quality, and duration of design; contribute to capital budgets and business cases
• Schedule engineering resources with AWS Engineering leads and influence designs based on internal needs
• Define project scope, schedule,



and deliverables in collaboration with internal customers; create/review/release design RFPs
• Manage external design consultants through design and construction; coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Cabling engineers
• Develop innovative cost- and schedule-saving solutions during construction without compromising quality or reliability
• Travel for site assessments and design reviews (expected travel up to 25%)
• Engage and manage permitting and xqbhyrx design consultants
• Conduct after-action reviews and identify process improvements

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Engineering or related field
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering for mission-critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.)
