We believe the future of travel lies in hyper-personalization, real-time decisioning, and AI-driven product experiences — and we’re looking for an outstanding Lead Engineer to help us get there. /p pAs a Lead Engineer in our Travel Things product area, you will guide a cross-functional team responsible for shaping and creating capabilities about how we sell and optimize products that make trips better — such as seats, bags, insurance, guarantees, car rental and private transport, and more. /p h3You’ll be at the heart of our strategy to: /h3 ul liIncrease conversion in our booking funnel through smarter user journeys. /li liGrow revenue margin per booking by leveraging AI and machine learning to personalize the offer at every step. /li liLeverage on real time data for covering the customer specific needs tailoring the offer of our products portfolio. /li /ul h3What You’ll Be Doing: /h3 ul liLead a high-performing team of backend and frontend web engineers, fostering growth, ownership, and technical excellence. /li liCollaborate with product managers, data scientists, and UX designers to create,



validate and deliver high-impact product features. /li liDrive the adoption of machine learning models, AI systems, and personalization frameworks into customer-facing features. /li liEnsure engineering quality through technical design reviews, code reviews, and setting high standards for testing and delivery. /li liMeasure, understand and improve the team performance constantly keeping our high-performance team standards high. /li liMentor and coach engineers, helping them grow in both their technical and leadership paths. /li liAlign closely with other engineering teams across the company to ensure a strong technical strategy and consistent delivery cadence. /li /ul h3What you need to succeed: /h3 pGood to have /p ul liProven experience as a Lead Engineer with tech leadership, ideally in B2C or product-led organizations. /li liPrevious knowledge or strong interest and/or hands-on experience applying machine learning or AI to product problems. /li liExperience integrating ML models into production systems or working closely with data scientists is a big plus. /li liSolid understanding of personalization strategies (e.g. recommendations, targeting, contextual relevance) and how they impact conversion or monetization. /li liAbility to break down complex systems and make pragmatic decisions that drive business impact. /li liExperience building distributed systems and REST APIs. /li liA product mindset: you care deeply about solving real user problems and measuring outcomes. /li liExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you’re comfortable driving conversations with Product, Design, Data Science and directly reporting to Directors. /li liTrack record of driving initiatives that had measurable impact on funnel performance or revenue KPIs. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants. /li liExperimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into software development workflows. /li liAI-Enhanced Problem Solving: Ability to effectively leverage AI tools to debug code, streamline development processes, and enhance productivity. /li liAdaptability and Learning Agility:
