Position Title: Mail Orderly (MO)

Location: Naval Station Rota, Spain

Key Responsibilities:

- Receive, sort, and dispatch official and personal mail in compliance with DoD and USPS standards
- Assign and manage mail receptacles and virtual mailboxes for command personnel
- Maintain directory services, forwarding addresses, and locator files for all assigned patrons
- Ensure compliance with security procedures, including restricted access to UMR and regular lock/combination changes
- Transport mail to and from Fleet Mail Center (FMC) Rota using a government-owned vehicle

Minimum Qualifications

- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 70 lbs; prolonged standing, walking, and bending required
- Knowledge/Skills:
- Familiarity with DoD, OPNAV, NAVSUP, and USPS postal regulations
- Ability to maintain locator files, directories, and supportive material
- Experience with official and personal mail processing
- Licensing: Possess valid state and government driver’s licenses
- Training: Must complete Mail Orderly training from FMC Rota prior to assuming duties
