We are looking for an bEHS Engineer /b to support the implementation and daily operation of the site’s Environment, Health and Safety management system. /p pThis role will focus on operational safety, risk assessment, environmental compliance, occupational health, equipment safety and continuous improvement across the manufacturing site. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 pEHS Compliance and Management Systems /p ul liSupport compliance with Spanish and European occupational health, industrial safety and environmental regulations. /li liImplement site procedures in accordance with the Spanish Occupational Risk Prevention framework. /li liSupport the implementation and maintenance of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. /li liMaintain EHS records, compliance documentation and regulatory monitoring registers. /li liParticipate in internal audits, certification audits, customer assessments and corrective action follow-up. /li liPrepare EHS reports, performance data and supporting documentation. /li /ul h3Site Safety and Risk Control /h3 ul liConduct workplace inspections, hazard identification and occupational risk assessments. /li liPerform or support JSA, HAZOP and other relevant risk assessments for production, equipment and maintenance activities. /li liMonitor high-risk work, including hot work, work at height, confined spaces, lifting operations and temporary electrical work. /li liSupport the permit‑to‑work process and verify that the required safety controls are in place. /li liMonitor PPE use, machinery safeguards, hazardous areas and chemical handling practices.



/li liFollow up on identified hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed. /li /ul h3Contractor Safety /h3 ul liReview contractor and subcontractor safety documentation and qualifications. /li liDeliver or coordinate site safety inductions. /li liMonitor contractor activities and compliance with site EHS requirements. /li liIdentify unsafe practices and support corrective actions. /li /ul h3Environmental and Occupational Health Management /h3 ul liMonitor environmental aspects related to air emissions, wastewater, waste, noise, soil and groundwater. /li liCoordinate environmental sampling and monitoring activities with external providers. /li liMaintain hazardous waste records and support compliant storage, transportation and disposal. /li liSupport occupational health programmes covering chemical exposure, noise, dust, ergonomics and psychosocial risks. /li liCoordinate employee health surveillance and maintain the relevant documentation. /li liSupport energy‑saving, waste‑reduction and environmental improvement projects. /li /ul h3Equipment, Chemical and Explosion Safety /h3 ul liParticipate in safety reviews for new equipment, production processes and facility modifications. /li liIdentify mechanical, electrical, functional and chemical safety risks. /li liSupport machinery safety inspections and the validation of protective measures. /li liReview the hazards associated with new chemicals and their proposed storage and use. /li liSupport ATEX assessments and the identification of potentially explosive environments. /li liAssist in developing technical standards and inspection checklists for machinery, chemical and explosion safety. /li /ul h3Training, Emergency and Incident Management /h3 ul liDeliver EHS induction,



operational safety and emergency‑response training. /li liMaintain accurate training records and follow up on mandatory training requirements. /li liSupport the preparation and testing of emergency response procedures. /li liParticipate in emergency drills and inspect emergency equipment. /li liInvestigate accidents, near misses and unsafe conditions. /li liConduct root‑cause analysis and track corrective and preventive actions. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field. /li liAt least 3 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. /li liKnowledge of Spanish occupational risk prevention and industrial safety requirements. /li liPractical experience conducting workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations. /li liKnowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems. /li liExperience with machinery safety, hazardous chemicals, ATEX or environmental compliance is an advantage. /li liExperience in battery manufacturing, automotive, chemical, semiconductor or another high‑risk industrial sector is desirable. /li liProfessional fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken. /li liChinese language skills are an advantage. /li liStrong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills. /li liAbility to work regularly in production, construction and technical areas. /li liA recognized Spanish PRL qualification, ISO auditor certification or other relevant EHS qualification is highly desirable. /li /ul pHiTHIUM is an equal opportunity employer.
