We are helping businesses of all sizes and sectors connect for a better future. /p pThe Vodafone Internet of Things (IoT) suite of products and services are designed specifically to meet the needs of new and evolving business verticals. /p ul liPromote modern Engineering practices, tooling, and methodologies across platform engineering teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and evolving tech strategy. /li liDefine and promote the right ways of working across engineering domains, cross engineering functions, other technology teams (Architecture, Technology Product, Delivery, Networks) and with business stakeholders. /li liSupport demand management prioritization within Platform Engineering team. /li liDrive a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. /li liEnsure that IoT Platform keeps evolving to reduce run costs, becoming more efficient and productive. /li liSupport the delivery of improvement programmes across the engineering functions, including support for RPF/RFQ/RFIs.
/li liEnsure alignment with business objectives and emerging IoT industry trends. /li liDefine the baseline and target for cost‑efficiency targets, including resources and people. /li liSupport and influence location strategy and insourcing/outsourcing steps to deliver platform engineering goals. /li liSupport KTLO portfolio management, ensuring goals are delivered in time form – this implies leading prioritization decisions in internal engineering and external forums. /li /ul h3Who You Are /h3 ul liMaster’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience. /li liTen or more years of experience in Engineering or Operational functions. /li liA minimum of 5 years of leadership responsibilities, including strategy, budgeting, and leading talent. /li liStrong talent management skills including talent development, coaching, mentoring, and team motivation for geographically distributed teams. /li liStrong leadership capability with proven track record of successful cross‑team development and working effectively with all organizational levels. /li liAbility to effectively drive business, culture, and technology change in a dynamic and complex operating environment. /li liStrong ability to build and maintain cross‑functional partnerships at all levels of the organization. /li liBroad knowledge of current and emerging technologies, technology directions, and strategic application to business needs, including the ability to differentiate between a relevant trend and hype.
