Senior Project Manager

- Location: Barcelona

- Start Date: ASAP

- Reports to: Chief of Staff

About us

We’re Dragons, a global creative agency working with bold brands to build relevance, cultural connection, and long-term impact through strategy-led creativity.

We specialize in bridging the Digital and Creative worlds through innovative creative solutions, working extensively in sectors like skincare, healthcare, fashion, lifestyle, and FMCG, amongst others.

We have international teams working from the US and Barcelona, and we pride ourselves on our ability to drive results for our clients through strategic thinking, creative excellence, and meticulous execution.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to own the operational backbone of a full account or portfolio of creative projects, driving how campaigns come together end-to-end. This person holds the whole system in view, where capacity will strain, where risk or opportunity is building, and what needs to be factored in next.

The role calls for someone resourceful, who builds the answer when one doesn't already exist and brings creative, strategic solutions to operational, creative and client problems - equally comfortable running different PM methodologies and building new solutions. A key direct point of contact with leadership, maintaining full visibility into resourcing and delivery health, and making informed decisions to keep projects on track and properly resourced.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Portfolio & delivery ownership

· Own end-to-end operational health of a full account or portfolio, across multiple projects and disciplines.

· Lead project management - scope, timelines, budget, dependencies - blending the methodology (Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, Hybrid, etc) that fits each project or team.

· Anticipate opportunities and structural risk and blockers (capacity gaps, bottlenecks, process failures, difficult client feedback) and propose creative solutions.

· Implement and enhance QA processes so deliverables consistently meet partner and client requirements.

Standards and tools

· Own Project Management Tools as the central operating system (custom workflows, request/intake forms, proofing & approval, resource management, cross-project dashboards) while knowing where other tools plug in.

· Set the planning and governance standards used across the wider PM function, backed by strong methodology and a disciplined, consistent way of working.

· Set the bar for other team members, elevating how the function plans, reports and problem-solves.

Stakeholder and leadership engagement

· Lead monthly governance with Chief of Staff and leadership, bringing recommendations that shape resourcing and priorities.

· Act as a trusted operational voice, identifying where systems, tools and ways of working can improve to support the business as it scales.

· Partner closely with creative teams, driving accountability on timelines and making sure the vision is fully understood, and with Account Management and leadership to align timelines, stay fully informed, and proactively flag blockers and opportunities.

Resourcing

· Allocate and rebalance resources across teams, spotting opportunities or constraints early enough to enhance or protect project momentum and influencing agency growth.

· Maintain a reliable database of freelancers and partner studios, handling outreach, contracting and payments.

· Bring a strategic and creative lens to improve how projects, teams and systems are structured.

What we're looking for

· 7+ years' experience in project management, project operations, or PMO roles,

including managing a portfolio of projects and/or a team of Project Managers.

· Fluency across multiple PM and operational methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall/Critical Path, Stage-Gate) and the judgment to blend the right one for each project, team or client.

· Deep, hands-on experience with Wrike, Jira, Asana or similar tools as a central work management hub (workflows, intake forms, approvals, resource management, dashboards).

· Resourceful, solutions-oriented mindset: someone who builds a way forward rather than waiting for one.

· Strategic and creative problem-solving ability, with a genuine eye for creative work and how systems and teams can work better.

· Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape process and priorities beyond your own projects.

· Deep comfort with process, tooling and data, with the maturity to know when to evolve or break a process rather than defend it.

Languages

• Proficient English (mandatory)

• Spanish (mandatory)

• Any other languages are a plus.

Benefits

- Remote flex Fridays from 9:00 AM to 2.30 PM.

- Three weeks of remote work per year.

- Summer working hours across July and August (9:00 AM to 4.00 PM).

- Free English & Spanish classes to boost your integral communication skills.

- Access to Wellhub, a wellness platform offering a wide range of fitness and wellbeing options.

- Flexible retribution plan for meals, transport and childcare.

- Holidays: 22 working days + 3 days established by the collective agreement + national and local public holidays.

- Bright, spacious offices in the heart of Barcelona, with unlimited premium coffee.

- Competitive pay & room to grow.

- Global playground, cutting-edge tools and trend-driven culture.
