ppWe are looking for a dedicated Medical Advisor with a passion for rare diseases to join our Medical Team to drive medical strategy and specialist engagements. /p h3The Position /h3 pAs Medical Advisor your purpose is to improve client product value by being a scientific expert, responsible for discussing products, patient treatment trends and studies in diverse therapy areas with a defined audience of Leading Specialists (Surgeons, Physicians, Pharmacists, Board Members of Scientific Societies, and other partners) as a trusted scientific counterpart and partner. /p pWe offer a position where you will be involved in current and future product launches, specialist engagement activities, as well as strategic projects, and will have ample opportunities, responsibilities, and influence on defining your own work. /p pThe Medical Advisor will report directly to the Country Manager, Abacus Pharma Spain. The location for the role is in Madrid. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 pIn your role as medical advisor your responsibility will be to: /p ul liServe as the reference person for medical input in client acquisition and in support of local operations. /li liPlay an integral role in the ongoing relationship with clients. /li liSupporting the development, management and maintenance of relationships with key specialists and prescribers through virtual and field visits, understanding their needs, key value drivers and practical treatment patterns and using this information to build a knowledge portfolio that supports client’s product strategy. /li liTogether with key groups of specialists, external experts, develop, at local level, advisory, collaborative and/or educational activities aligned with the client’s strategy.
/li liAdvise on sound medical launch strategy, messaging – and engagement plans and support resource allocation in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues involved in product launches. /li liContinuously update your own knowledge of products, patient’s treatment trends and clinical activities and studies within the therapeutic area in the region and consistently convey your knowledge to stakeholder groups, turning insight into action. /li liBe involved in developing processes and tools to support the further development of the department. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMedical (MD, PharmD, PhD) or scientific degree preferred (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, or similar). /li liExperience in Medical Affairs, clinical environments, or scientific engagement roles is highly valuable. That could be experience as Medical Advisor, Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Medical Affairs Manager, Clinical Specialist, or similar scientific engagement role. /li li5+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. /li liExperience or strong interest in cardiovascular disease, cardiovascular surgery, critical care, hospital specialties, rare diseases, or related therapeutic areas is a strong advantage. /li liAble to speak Spanish fluently and excellent verbal and written skills in English. /li liApproximately 20-30 % of your time will be spent travelling.
