ph3About BSC /h3 pThe Barcelona Supercomputing Center – Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC‑CNS) is the leading supercomputing centre in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of Europe’s most powerful supercomputers, and hosts EuroHPC JU. Its mission is to research, develop, and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and RD in computer and computational science under one roof and has over 1000 staff from 60 countries. /p h3Position /h3 pDevOps/MLOps Engineer (RE3) – Reference 331_26_DIR_IBD_RE3. Full‑time, 35 h/week, located at BSC within the Directors Department. Closing date: Friday, 31 July 2026. /p h3Key Duties /h3 ul liDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AI and machine‑learning solutions. /li liSupport deployment, versioning, release management, and rollback processes for AI services. /li liImplement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities for AI systems and infrastructure. /li liManage model registries, experiment‑tracking platforms, and deployment metadata. /li liAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows. /li liCollaborate with AI engineers, platform teams, security teams, and cloud administrators. /li liSupport environment standardisation, reproducibility, and operational best practices. /li liDefine operational procedures, runbooks, and incident‑response processes. /li liSupport troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and continuous improvement of production AI services. /li liContribute to MLOps, DevOps, and platform‑engineering standards across the AI Factory. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul libEducation /b ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence,
Telecommunications Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline. /li /ul /li libEssential Knowledge and Professional Experience /b ul li3–5 years of experience in DevOps, MLOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles. /li liExperience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines in production environments. /li liExperience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. /li liKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and automation frameworks. /li liExperience with monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions. /li liUnderstanding of machine‑learning and generative‑AI deployment lifecycle requirements. /li liExperience with model registries, experiment‑tracking tools, and release‑management processes. /li liKnowledge of security, access control, environment management, and operational governance. /li liStrong troubleshooting, automation, and operational problem‑solving skills. /li /ul /li libAdditional Knowledge and Professional Experience /b ul liExperience supporting LLM, RAG, or generative‑AI platforms. /li liFamiliarity with MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, ArgoCD, or similar MLOps ecosystems. /li liExperience in HPC, scientific computing, or large‑scale AI infrastructures. /li liExperience supporting multi‑tenant AI platforms and shared‑services environments.
