ph3About Sedex /h3 pSedex is a trusted partner for over 100,000 businesses worldwide, helping them create bsocially and environmentally sustainable supply chains /b. Through our platform's powerful data insights and expert guidance, we simplify the management, assessment, and reporting of sustainability performance. /p pOur Vision is to be a leader in making integral supply chains more socially and environmentally sustainable. Our Mission is to provide data-driven insights, accessible tools, and exceptional services that support businesses in improving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance and outcomes. /p h3The role /h3 pThe bNetwork Growth Manager /b is a commercially focused IC role embedded within the Sedex account management new business function. Network Growth Managers (NGMs) work alongside Account Managers Account Executives to activate and grow supplier networks across Sedex's buyer base. They are the primary driver of supplier volume growth on the platform - bringing structured pipeline management, commercial rigour and buyer partnership to a function that is central to Sedex's five-year growth plan. /p pNGMs operate in two distinct contexts: working within existing buyer accounts to identify and activate high-potential supplier growth opportunities, and engaging pre-sales with new buyer prospects to ensure supplier growth is embedded from day one. In both contexts, the mandate is singular: supplier growth. Support, training and platform queries are responsibility of the Account Management or Customer Excellence teams. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Supplier volume growth — existing buyer accounts /h3 ul liIdentify the highest-potential buyers within your assigned portfolio using platform data and buyer signals, building a prioritised pipeline of supplier growth opportunities. /li liWork alongside marketing, data subject matter experts to build campaigns and collateral to drive urgency and action for buyers to grow their network. /li liLead the commercial conversation with buyers to agree supplier growth goals, milestones and engagement plans. Supplier adds per buyer is a shared metric - success depends on genuine collaboration, not parallel working. /li liEngage with the Customer Success team on activation support, ensuring committed suppliers are handed off cleanly and move to live efficiently. /li liSupport the development of playbooks, onboarding materials and supplier engagement templates that improve the consistency and quality of the NGM function over time. /li /ul h3Must-have Experience /h3 pKnowledge, Skills Experience /p ul liProven commercial track record in a B2B growth, sales or account management role — has owned a hard volume or revenue target and delivered against it. Comfortable being held to a number. /li liExperience driving growth through existing customer or partner relationships — not just outbound new business. Has navigated the complexity of growing within accounts managed by others. /li liStrong pipeline management skills — builds, maintains and acts on structured pipelines using CRM or sales tools (Gainsight, Salesforce or equivalent). Data-driven in prioritisation and forecasting. /li liB2B commercial communication — can lead a structured commercial conversation with a buyer, frame a supplier growth opportunity compellingly, and navigate objections without undermining the broader account relationship. /li liSelf-starter with high personal accountability — operates independently without needing close direction, sets their own pace, manages time effectively across a mixed portfolio of accounts. /li /ul h3Strong advantages /h3 ul liPlatform,
marketplace or two-sided network experience - understands the dynamics of a business where buyer and supplier growth are interdependent. /li liSupply chain, procurement or sustainability sector background. /li liExperience in a pre-sales or business development role alongside an account management function - has worked in the seam between sales and post-sale delivery. /li liMulti-region or international portfolio experience - comfortable working across time zones and adapting engagement approaches for different markets. /li /ul h3Leadership and working characteristics /h3 ul liCommercial tenacity - energised by targets. Finds a way. Does not accept "it's difficult" as a final answer. /li liCollaborative by default - the Account Management team must see this person as an asset to their accounts, not a competitive presence. Builds trust quickly. /li liStructured and process-oriented - maintains clean pipeline data, documents plans and milestones, and holds themselves accountable to their own commitments. /li liComfortable with ambiguity - the NGM function is relatively new. Playbooks and processes are still being developed. This person shapes them rather than waiting for them. /li liClear and direct communicator - can translate complex supplier growth data into simple buyer conversations, and report concisely to the Head of Network Growth. /li /ul h3Our culture /h3 pAt Sedex, our approach to business and culture is firmly rooted in our core values, which guide everything we do: /p ul liRespect Each Other: We believe that a foundation of mutual respect is essential to creating a positive and inclusive environment. /li liCustomer-Driven: We are passionate about delivering exceptional value to our customers.
