In this role, you will lead the architecture of a digital substation monitoring platform that integrates sensors, data flows, and analytics. You will align customer needs with a scalable, secure system that spans hardware to cloud, shaping a next‑generation grid solution. You’ll bridge product strategy with engineering execution, coordinating across teams and partners. Your work accelerates GridBeats’ mission to advance reliable, sustainable grid operations. This is a high-impact opportunity to design the core platform for real-time energy analytics at scale.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Define and own the overall architecture of the substation monitoring platform (hardware, firmware, software, data layers)
• Translate customer needs into system capabilities, interfaces, and acceptance criteria
• Serve as the technical bridge between product management, domain SMEs, engineering, suppliers and customers
• Create and maintain architecture, system requirements, and interface documentation
• Lead technical product discovery, feasibility studies, prototypes, and trade-offs across performance, cost, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
• Develop a forward-looking platform strategy for AI/analytics, expandability, and evolving grid needs
• Design edge-to-cloud software architecture with secure communications, scalable data pipelines,
and deployment flexibility
• Align design with standards (IEC 61850, IEEE C37, DNP3, MODBUS) for secure grid operation
• Integrate sensor data, asset models, and diagnostics into a unified platform (data acquisition, processing, visualization)
• Establish architectural patterns for modular deployment, secure access, updates, and multi-tenant cloud systems
• Manage decisions around containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS, Azure)
• Support field trials, pilots, and lessons learned in product architecture
• Support make-buy-partner decisions and lead technical evaluation of suppliers and third-party technologies
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, xqbhyrx Computer Science, or related field (master's preferred)
• Strong experience in system architecture or complex product development in industrial or energy applications
• Experience defining systems combining hardware, software, communications and data processing
• Understanding of systems decomposition, requirements flow-down, and cross-domain interface definition
• Proven leadership in coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering, customer-facing functions, partners)
• Experience with digital, software-enabled or analytics-driven solutions
• Ability to communicate architecture and trade-offs to technical and executive audiences
• Fluent in English
