ph3Global Cyber Defence Manager – Security Operations Incident Response /h3 h3Hybrid | Madrid | Occasional international travel /h3 pWe're looking for a bGlobal Cyber Defence Manager /b to lead and evolve a modern cyber defence capability across a general technology environment. /p pThis is a senior leadership role for someone who combines deep technical security expertise with proven people management experience. You'll be responsible for shaping security operations, incident response, threat detection and cyber defence strategy across enterprise and cloud environments while building and developing a high-performing global team. /p pThis isn't a governance-only or hands-off management position. We're seeking a leader who remains close to the technology, understands modern threats and can help drive the next generation of security operations through automation, intelligence-led defence and continuous improvement. /p pYou'll work closely with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure and Executive stakeholders to strengthen resilience, improve detection capabilities and ensure security remains embedded throughout the technology lifecycle. /p h3The Role /h3 pYou’ll own the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of Security Operations and Incident Response, helping the organisation identify, contain and respond to increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. /p pYou’ll be responsible for developing cyber defence capabilities, maturing operational processes and ensuring teams have the tools, intelligence and expertise needed to protect a complex global technology estate. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 ul liLead, mentor and develop a global team of security analysts and cyber defence engineers /li liOwn the strategy,



architecture and operational effectiveness of Security Operations /li liBuild and maintain incident response frameworks, playbooks and operational processes /li liOversee the identification, containment and remediation of cyber security incidents /li liDrive automation across threat detection, investigation and response workflows /liliEvaluate and implement modern security tooling across SIEM, SOAR and telemetry platforms /li liPartner with engineering and infrastructure teams to improve security posture and resilience /li liLead threat modelling exercises, breach simulations and cyber readiness activities /li liDefine meaningful cyber security metrics and provide executive-level reporting /li liManage cyber defence initiatives within an agile delivery framework /li liFoster a security-first culture across the wider organisation /li /ul h3What We’re Looking For /h3 ul liProven leadership experience within Security Operations, Cyber Defence or Incident Response functions /li liStrong understanding of SOC design, threat detection and cyber defence strategy /li liExperience securing enterprise-scale cloud environments across bAWS, Azure and/or GCP /b /li liDeep knowledge of modern cyber threats,



attack techniques and threat actor behaviours /li liExperience designing and automating incident response processes and workflows /li liStrong understanding of security frameworks such as bNIST CSF /b and bMITRE ATTCK /b /li liExperience with SIEM, SOAR and security monitoring technologies /li liAbility to perform effectively during high-pressure security incidents /li liStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate at both technical and executive levels /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills /li /ul h3Ideal Background /h3 ul liExperienced Cyber Defence Leader, SOC Manager or Incident Response Manager /li liProven track record mitigating sophisticated cyber threats and large-scale security incidents /li liStrong technical understanding of cloud-native security architectures /li liExperience spanning security operations, threat detection and response engineering /li liComfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on technical decision making /li liExperience building and scaling high-performing global security teams /li liCertifications such as bCISSP, CISM, GIAC /b or equivalent would be advantageous /li liExposure to both offensive and defensive security disciplines would be highly beneficial /li /ul h3Package /h3 ul liHighly competitive senior leadership package /li liEquity participation available /li liInternational scope and visibility /li liOpportunity to lead a globally distributed cyber defence capability /li /ul h3Application Information /h3 pYour personal information will be processed solely to assess your suitability for the role.
