In this role, you apply biocatalysis and organic chemistry to create innovative scent molecules within IFF’s Scent Ru0026amp;D. You will bridge chemistry, biotechnology, and creativity to advance fragrance ingredients and technologies. You will work in a collaborative team in Benicarló, Spain, driving research from early validation through scale-up and contributing to sustainability and innovation. You will lead projects, mentor others, and report results to inform strategy and IP.

• Design and implement novel biocatalytic methodologies for scent molecule development
• Develop experimental procedures, analyze data, and ensure accurate reporting
• Lead innovative research projects from validation to scale-up
• Conduct literature and IP research to explore advancements in biotransformation and organic chemistry

• Independently manage projects from concept to completion and deliver creative solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with chemists, biochemists, and chemical engineers
• Mentor junior scientists and deliver training as a local biocatalysis SME
Responsabilidades
• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in biocatalysis, ideally in an industrial setting
• Strong expertise in enzymatic catalysis xqbhyrx and organic synthesis
• Proven ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Self-driven, adaptable, and eager to contribute to innovation
