We are part of Rakuten Group, one of the world's leading internet services companies. /p h3Job Description /h3 pWe are looking for a Senior AP Accountant who will lead our Accounts Payable function. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 pbAccounts Payable Operations /b /p ul liOversee accurate and timely processing of high-volume vendor invoices, including proper GL review, PO matching, approvals, and discrepancy resolution. /li liOversee the management of employee expense reports, ensuring policy adherence. /li liEstablish and maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and payment issues. /li liAssist with month-end/year-end closing, including accruals and expense recording. /li liPerform complex AP reconciliations (sub-ledger to GL, accrued expense, vendor statements, prepaids). /li liInvestigate and resolve reconciling items and prepare detailed reports. /li liIdentify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the P2P process and propose solutions for optimization and collaborate on process improvements and system enhancements. /li /ul pbTreasury Operations /b /p ul liPrepare, review, and upload payments to banking platforms, manage day-to-day banking operations,



oversee bank account administration and signatory controls, and maintain effective relationships with banking partners. /li /ul pbOther Responsibilities /b /p ul liLead, mentor, and develop a Junior Accounts Payable team member, providing day-to-day guidance, workload prioritization, training, and performance support to ensure efficient and accurate AP operations. /li liAssist departments with budget preparation and support internal/external audits. /li liStay updated on AP best practices and perform other duties as assigned. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pbEducation: /b Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. /p pbExperience /b /p ul li5+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. /li liProven experience with complex accounts reconciliations. /li liStrong understanding of the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. /li liProven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements or automation initiatives preferred. /li /ul pbTechnical Skills /b /p ul liProficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics BC preferred) /li liAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills /li liExperience with procurement tools preferred /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
