As Lead, UX Designer for English Language Learning, you will steer a global UX organization to unify learner and teacher experiences across the ELL portfolio. You’ll translate product strategy into design direction, elevate UX quality, and drive measurable outcomes. You’ll work with Product, Engineering, Content, and Marketing to ensure coherence with Pearson’s design system and cross‑team collaboration. This role offers the chance to shape scalable UX systems and raise design maturity at a global scale.

• Drive cross‑surface customer experience outcomes to present ELL as a connected system
• Own UX quality, cohesion, and design maturity across teams and products

• Lead user research and discovery to inform product decisions and value propositions
• Localise experiences for regional and segment needs while maintaining global coherence
• Own ELL's design system and UX operations, ensuring scalable, accessible patterns
• Create and maintain a UX playbook for workflows, UX/AI design, and content strategy
• Establish scalable design systems and efficient delivery through governance and playbooks
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Program leaders; define clear RACI and decision‑making frameworks
• Coach and develop a global team of design managers and senior ICs; drive succession planning
• Hire, calibrate, and develop the ELL UX workforce; foster inclusive collaboration across geographies
• Build alignment across leadership on roadmaps and cross‑functional priorities
Responsabilidades
• 12+ years of UX, product design, or design leadership xqbhyrx experience
• 5+ years leading multi‑team design organizations or managing managers
• Proven track record shipping complex, multi‑product experiences at scale
• Experience building and operating mature design systems, research practices, and UX operating models
• Experience partnering with senior Product and Engineering leaders in integral, matrixed organizations
• Familiarity with English language learning, EdTech, or related education markets preferred
• Bachelor in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or related field (or equivalent)
