ph3About the Role /h3 pAs Lead Energy Spain, you will lead and shape our Operational Energy Onshore underwriting strategy in Spain. You will be responsible for underwriting performance, portfolio quality, governance and the continued development of our Operational Energy Onshore portfolio. Operational Energy Onshore includes conventional power, sustainable energy, heavy chemical, mid‑stream and mining. /p pYou will play a key role in driving profitable growth, strengthening underwriting discipline and supporting consistent decision‑making across the market. Working closely with local Underwriting teams, Distribution, Claims, Risk Engineering, Actuarial, Finance and senior leadership, you will help ensure our Energy Onshore portfolio delivers strong and sustainable results. /p pAs Lead Energy Spain, Senior Underwriter, you will be the subject‑matter expert, drive growth and opportunities, increase our visibility and footprint in this segment, and ensure high‑level service to our customers and brokers. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop and execute the Spanish underwriting strategy for operational Energy Onshore aligned with overall business objectives. /li liTake accountability for the performance, quality and sustainability of the Spanish Energy Onshore portfolio. /li liIdentify growth opportunities, portfolio trends and risk mitigation actions using data‑driven insights. /li liLead portfolio steering activities, including pricing discipline, risk appetite, exposure management and underwriting governance. /li liAct as a senior referral point for queries around insurance structure proposition. /li liEnsure consistent application of underwriting standards, guidelines,
controls and best practices across the Spanish region. /li liWork with key stakeholders including Distribution, Claims, Risk Engineering, Actuarial, Finance and Operations to deliver customer‑focused and commercially sound outcomes. /li liMonitor market developments, regulatory changes and emerging risks affecting Energy Onshore underwriting. /li liDrive continuous improvement in underwriting processes, efficiency and decision quality. /li liLead, coach and develop underwriting talent, building strong technical capability and succession strength across the region. /li liPromote a culture of collaboration, accountability, customer focus and underwriting excellence. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liStrong experience in Energy Onshore Operational underwriting within corporate insurance. /li liProven leadership experience, including leading teams and/or senior stakeholders. /li liStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and countries. /li liExperience working with complex multinational risks. /li liBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, risk management, economics or equivalent field. /li liExcellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of one or more Spanish languages is an advantage.
