ppHi! /p h3Team and Role /h3 pIf you have experience in product design, communication storytelling skills, thrive in a dynamic startup environment, and are ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you. /p h3What you’ll be doing /h3 h3Your day-to-day as a Product Designer /h3 pYou’ll spend most of your day in Figma, crafting experiences for both clients and freelancers across the Shakers platform—on desktop, mobile, and sometimes tablet. If you have experience designing responsive layouts, that’s a big win—it’ll make your workflow smoother and more efficient. We always start by deeply understanding the design goals and constraints so every proposal aligns with the product vision. /p h3Running user tests /h3 pYou’ll test your designs with real users to see what works and what needs a second round. At Shakers, we don’t design blindly—we like to test early, listen, iterate, and make informed decisions. That’s why it’s important you feel comfortable sharing your work, talking to users and stakeholders, and adjusting quickly when things don’t quite land. /p h3Co-creating with the team /h3 pWe don’t design in isolation or in waterfall mode. You’ll be an active part of the Product Trio (PM, Designer, Dev), helping shape solutions from day one. The more you’re involved in the discovery and definition phase, the smoother everything else will go. /p h3Maintaining and improving the Design System /h3 pYou’ll help keep our design system clean, up-to-date, and aligned with best practices—working closely with developers to make sure everything gets implemented properly. The best part? You won’t be alone in this. The team is very into design systems and eager to improve ours, so you’ll be joining forces with folks who love digging into components, patterns, and structure. /p h3Handoff adoption /h3 pMarking a Figma file as “done” isn’t where your job ends. Together with PMs, you’ll help prep clear, structured developer handoffs, design onboarding experiences for new features, support internal comms or email creatives, and check that what’s built matches your specs. Precision matters. /p h3Working with AI in your workflow — Using AI tools (like Claude) as part of how you design, prototype and explore. It's not just about producing faster: it's about knowing when AI adds value and when it doesn't. /h3 h3Bonus (but Actually Important) /h3 ul liComfort in changing contexts + 360 vision /li /ul h3Experience in marketplaces or multi-sided products /h3 ul liOur “double commit” model means balancing two very different types of users with interconnected needs. If you’ve worked in marketplaces, you already know: designing isn’t just about making things look good—it’s about understanding how every decision impacts both sides. /li /ul h3Comfort expressing yourself in Spanish and English /h3 pWe work in Spanish most of the time, but we’re growing internationally. Some tools, investor interactions, and key docs are already in English. If you can express your ideas clearly in both languages, that’s awesome. But don’t worry—English isn’t a barrier here. The whole team is actively leveling up, and what really matters is your willingness to learn and collaborate in both contexts. /p h3What we´re looking for /h3 pYou´re a great fit if you… /p ul liExperience in fast-changing environments: We love people who thrive in (the good kind of) chaos.
If you’ve been part of early-stage product launches—especially in Series A startups—and rolled up your sleeves to help take a product to market, this might be your place. Bonus points if you’ve worked at startups we recognize and can walk us through how design helped drive real success. /li liCollaboration in a techie world: We genuinely enjoy working as a team—sharing, questioning, building, and celebrating together. If you’re the kind of designer who loves working side-by-side with PMs, devs, and data folks, you’ll feel right at home. That’s why we’re looking for someone who doesn’t just speak the language of design, but also understands the rhythm of product, tech, and analytics. The best ideas here grow in collaboration—and the beauty of designing at Shakers is that you’ll never do it alone. That said, we’re also pretty serious about our methodology. Sprints and follow-ups are part of our everyday flow. /li liReal Product Design skills: We’re looking for someone who blends UI, UX, and strategic thinking. You should feel comfortable crafting beautiful, functional interfaces and building solid, user‑centered experiences. Prototyping, testing fast, validating ideas with real users—that’s our way of working. If you’re someone who knows when to reference what already works in the market instead of reinventing the wheel, we’ll probably get along great. Oh, and attention to microinteractions? Huge plus. /li liCritical thinking your own criteria: You don’t just execute; you question, argue your decisions and bring a clear point of view on how great product design gets done. You know how to defend the why behind your choices, and you're not afraid to challenge an idea. /li liYou combine analysis and execution: You like digging into data and understanding why something works, but you also know how to bring it to the canvas. Metrics nobody actions aren't enough. Interest in tools like Amplitude or Clarity is a plus. /li liReal autonomy resolutiveness: You don't wait to be pushed to deliver, and when you're blocked you find a way to move forward instead of stopping. /li liTeam mentality, not solo superstar: If you're great at something you'll own it and share it, so the whole team grows. Spotting "this is good, it can help the team" and passing it on is exactly the energy we want. /li liComfortable talking to users: You're at ease speaking directly with both freelancers and clients, and you respect everyone's time. /li liCuriosity for new tech: You try new things—a process, an animation, a fresh approach—and explore through design, not just deliver with it. /li liWe’re versátil, but our Product heart beats in Valencia /li /ul h3Communication storytelling skills /h3 pDesigning well is just one part of the job. We need someone who can tell the story behind the design—clearly, visually, and verbally. Whether it’s presenting your work, organizing your Figma files so others don’t get lost, or handing things off smoothly to developers, you should be as good at explaining the why as you are at crafting the what.
/p h3What's in it for you? /h3 h3Compensation /h3 pThe salary range for this position is between 30.000€ and 46.000€ OTE (on target earnings) gross annual salary. /p h3The Salary Consists Of /h3 ul liBetween 30.000€ 40.000€ fixed salary (depends your level and señority) /li liUp to 15% (6.000€) quarterly bonus based on performance potential. /li /ul h3Why you'll love working at Shakers /h3 ul liBe part of a rapidly growing, internationally expanding startup. /li liHave an ambitious professional development plan to help you reach your full potential. /li liEnjoy an unbeatable team culture—ask anyone on our team! /li liTake advantage of our hybrid full flex methodology: a mix of remote and in-office work, with our office located in the heart of Madrid, Calle Zurbano 71. /li liFlexible compensation. /li /ul h3At the office... /h3 ul liRegular Product team buildings and offsites. /li liFree caffeine and theine /li liOur recruitment process /li /ul pAs a startup, we are very agile and we like to see results quickly, which is why prioritize efficiency in our recruitment process.
