The bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering applies the principles of engineering to biological systems and strives to improve patients’ quality of life through devices and materials that can substitute or regenerate damaged body parts. Bioengineering students will use their knowledge of basic sciences, such as physics, chemistry,



and biology to design materials capable of stimulating biological processes in our organism and combine them with concepts of engineering to develop materials that can substitute or regenerate tissue. /p pbWhat we offer /b /p pApplications are invited from qualified candidates for a part‑time contract as a lecturer for the Fundamental Biomechanics at the Bioengineering Bachelor’s Degree of the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) at the Sant Cugat Campus in Barcelona. The selected candidates are expected to fill the position(s) starting at January 22nd 2026. /p pSubject objectives: /p ul liTo understand and apply basic concepts of biomechanics. /li liTo know the structure and function of human tissues and articular motion. /li liTo study the tissues and joints movements. /li liTo know the structure and movements of the human spine. /li liTo know the function and movements of the human gait. /li /ul pThe teaching activities will consist of 5.4 ECTS (which corresponds to 60 teaching hours), depending on the specific subject.
