The role involves projects from feasibility studies to detailed designs across multiple regions, including the USA, Australia, Canada, and the Middle East.



/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liServe as the Highway lead engineer on mid‑ to large‑size projects supported by EC. /li liMake day‑to‑day decisions for a technical team, integrating resources from EC offices in Poland, Spain, India, and elsewhere. /li liProvide technical expertise for studies and designs, conducting complex value‑engineering evaluations and determining alternative designs, materials, and construction techniques. /li liCategory packages of work to be handled by EC and elaborate execution plans with internal clients to define the delivery strategy and design team composition. /li liPerform quality control reviews of work developed by others; approve and sign off on deliverables. /li liEnsure team results meet agreed‑upon budgets for specific work packages. /li liCommunicate effectively with internal clients and team members to clarify expectations and requirements. /li liApply highway/railway engineering standards and project specifications, evaluate design options, and understand the impact of design decisions on constructability, operation, and maintenance. /li liLead design teams—both small and large—for internal clients, integrating resources across EC offices. /li liTrain, mentor, and evaluate less experienced staff within the Europe EC group or other delivery centers.
